Thru-Touch gives the OEM the option to customise the look and feel of the user touch interface by projecting the touch field through a protective top cover of either glass or acrylic. This enables innovative options for border designs, cover thickness and touch feel.
Thru-Touch penetrates cover layers of up to 5mm thick with an additional 2mm air-gap between sensor glass & cover glass. The air-gap area can be used to prevent impact shock transfer from the protective cover glass to the touch sensor and display. Thru-Touch is fitted with a 2.2mm chemically-treated toughened glass and is constructed from a Glass/Film/Film stack, providing maximum protection from impact to the screen area.
